In Sunspring’s third year, they released Poppy as their only full-length album. Despite the group’s distorted and dissonant style, the recording process invited pop sensibilities and clean tones.
Produced by Mike Baker (Telephone Man), the album has a few interesting turns, such as the first four songs which are continuous.
Following the 12-song album are another 11 tracks pulled from previous releases, including the Slinky 7″, the first split with Endpoint, and songs from a 1992 session. Most of these bonus tracks are not available on streaming services.
